2012 Hodgepodge Grand Tour Rules

Checkpoints are accessible by motorcycle and must be ridden to on your motorcycle.

A person may only enter ONE TIME. The entry fees are based on the driver of the motorcycle. The Hodgepodge Grand Tour will run from April 1^st, 2012 until November 30^th, 2012.

Upon receiving your Entry Form and Fee, the Midnight Riders will send you a Hodgepodge Grand Tour Identification # Sign and tabulation sheet.

One of the following “Hodgepodge locations” are what you must take pictures of: Towns, cities, or counties with “AMA” in them (i.e. Amana, IA), Towns, cities, or counties with “US President last names” in them (i.e. Washington, IN), KOA campgrounds, Wineries, Museums, Light Houses, Covered Bridges, Motorcycle Shops, National Parks, State Parks, and Mom & Pop Restaurants (non chain Restaurants).

You must submit 20 pictures (ANY COMBINATION) Hodgepodge locations to complete the Hodgepodge Grand Tour. (Only 20 pictures will be accepted) Any sign with the Hodgepodge location name will be accepted. Names may be used more than once. (I.e. Washington IN, Washington County IN) It is recommended that you show verification that a location used more than once is a different location. (I.e. use post office sign or individual name of the Motorcycle shop in them)

You MUST submit a photo of each checkpoint, hard copy or on a CD. Your motorcycle and the Hodgepodge Grand Tour Identification # Sign MUST appear in the photo. (If you cannot get your motorcycle close enough to the signs SAFELY, then the Hodgepodge Grand Tour Identification # Sign must appear in the photo of the Hodgepodge location sign.

Your Motorcycle MUST be in at least 15 of the 20 photos. Photos MUST have the name of the Hodgepodge location in the picture. Please identify each photo on the back, include State name please.

Photos and tabulation sheets must be sent to the Midnight Riders and postmarked NO LATER than December 5^th, 2012. We suggest you to send them registered mail for your benefit.

You may plan your own route and visit the checkpoints in any order you choose, Take your time and enjoy the ride.

A drawing of playing cards (Ace,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,Jack) will be drawn on December 15^th, 2012. Ace will be worth 1 point and Jack will be worth 11 points. The cards as drawn will be assigned to the Hodgepodge Grand Tour locations listed above, in the order they are listed, Plus, you will receive 30 bonus points if you have a picture of at least one of each location. After each location has a point value, your pictures will be assigned these points, and the top points will be the winner. In the event of a tie, names with the Jack assigned to them will determine how the tie is broken, highest number of Jacks is the winner, if there is still a tie, then the highest number of KOA’s visited will break the tie.

The 1^st place Winner will receive a set of Dunlop Tires, 2^nd place Winner $200.00, 3^rd place Winner $100.00, along with ALL Completions being put into a drawing that AMA will draw awards from for the Grand Tours with KOA Along the Way Series. Other prizes may be added later.

A list of all entries and their scores will be posted on our web site on or before December 31st, 2012.
